Man, what a great first day of free agenzy!
I loved every second of it. Sure, the universe is about to implode and the enddate of the world according to the mayan calendar got pushed forward by about four years, but who cares? I love reading about old rich white men and their definition of financial restraint (and we were somehow surprised over the whole Enron thing?).
As of right now, I loved that we had a lockout and In the future I'm rooting for the NHLPA, like OMG forevva and evar!
Power to the people, thats all I'm saying right now.

What exactly is your problem? There is a cap in place and whether you deem it restrained or not doesn't mean a thing. The players get 55% or thereabouts of the revenues, that's why we had the lockout, because whatever an uninformed person like yourself thinks, finances are being kept in order.

The maximum is $56.7, and the minimum is $40.7.
The league had a chance to correct themselves by all teams not spending $56.7 million just because they could. By not doing so, they have no one but themselves to blame.
So go players! Go get what you can while it's available.
