I love this "new" management and their plan for the future of this franchise. For once, we have a regime who (so far) has stayed the course. They are serious about building through the draft and have made some great picks, especially this year. Jori Lehtera 65th and Kristoffer Berglund 125th!? They really fell that far? Come on! You've got to be kidding me (I've actually seen these two play maybe twelve times in total this year and they've got what it takes. In my humble opinion these two players will surprise a lot of people in a few years).

I'm thrilled that they haven't offered George Laraques and Bea Arthur 23-year deals worth $6 million annually and stayed out of the insanity.

But if they could sign Jagr to a two year deal worth around $4.5-5 million a year (assuming he'd want to play here) would be totally worth it. It'd bring even more fans to the seats and at that prize and length it won't be too much of a burden.

It's wishful thinking I know, but it's fun to have unrealistic dreams. Come on! I'm a blues fan fer f's sake! And btw, I AM a more informed fan than those people who make trade proposals over at HFboards (who are those people anyway? Drunken shaolin-midgets?).
