The Blue Jackets look good on defense.

Ok. Another post. I've calmed down a bit.

I apologize for my rusty English, it's been a while since I wrote in your language. I've never been the best, but I've beem better than I am now. It'll come back to me eventually.

Just read that The Blue Jackets traded Nikolai Zherdev and Dan Fritsche to the Rangers for Fedor Tyutin and Christian Bäckman. I would say this trade makes The Blue Jackets one of the better teams one-to-five on defense in the West.

In no particular order, their D looks like this: Rostislav Kiesla, Mike Commodore, Fedor Tyutin, Christian Bäckman and Jan Hejda. That's a pretty darn good defense if you as me. While they're missing a true number 1 defenseman, they have five 2nd or 3rd defensemen. Outside the top five there's Kris Russell, O.K Tollefsen and Aaron Rome. This, and Hitchcock behind the bench looks promising.

Some people complain about the fact that Zherdev is one of The Jackets true offensive players. While I agree with that, it's not like they don't have a shitload of forward prospects.

How about Jakub Voracek, Nikita Filatov, Derick Brassard, Adam Pineault & Stefan Legein? I'm sure at least one of these players will pick up the slack next year.

In my opinion the Blue Jackets won this trade, although The Rangers never really lost anything.

They won less? Good trade for both teams.
